Philanthropy
The brothers of Sigma Nu-Nu Chapter take pride in their service and giving back to the community. We strive to embody Sigma Nu’s tradition of love, truth, and honor through our philanthropic efforts we orchestrate and participate in every year. We engage with other students of KU (Greek and non-Greek) to make a lasting difference within the community. Whether its developing one-on-one relationships with those with developmental disabilities, or participating in fund raising for other worthwhile programs, Nu Chapter gives back to The University of Kansas and Lawrence, Kansas communities.
Community service (giving time) and philanthropy (raising and donating money) are important parts of Sigma Nu.
Nu Chapter organizes community service projects, participates in other campus organization service activities and provides service opportunities for individual members. We also host philanthropy events and participate in other Greek and student organization philanthropies. These provide great opportunities to contribute time and raise funds for charity, build social connections, establish friendships and have fun.
Sigma Nu’s Helping Hand Initiative provides a general structure for Sigma Nu’s service and philanthropy outreach, highlighted by the Founder’s Month of Service in April every year.
