We set our academic standards to compete at the highest level and exceed those standards year after year. There is a great deal of competitiveness among the fraternities at The University of Kansas. Sigma Nu usually ranks among the highest house G.P.A.s on campus. The house G.P.A. is consistently well above the campus-wide all men's average and the campus-wide all Fraternity average!
The expectations we set for our men are scribed to sculpt them for success beyond their academic careers.
Sigma Nu exists to cultivate and develop ethical leaders. An education is the most important part of that formula. Your son is a student first, and a Sigma Nu second. To ensure this is happening, Sigma Nu, in accordance with the North-American Interfraternity Conference (the governing arm of over 60 national fraternities), has minimum standards that hold chapters accountable for attaining a chapter-average GPA at or above the respective campus' All-Men's Average.
In our chapter, every man has an opportunity to run for one of many leadership positions. Through formal training, resources, coaching, experience and practice, these officers will develop their leadership skills as they learn how to manage and lead an organization.
To develop ethical leaders inspired by the principles of Love, Honor and Truth…
In addition to the formal leadership positions, programs and training that Sigma Nu offers, some of the best opportunities lie in the informal and intangible leadership experiences that happen – building an organization from the ground up, learning how to manage and deal with people, balancing business and brotherhood – these invaluable experiences build character, maturity, and especially leadership.
